Image Compressor · What this tool does
Balance image quality and file size with batch JPG, PNG and WebP compression. Set an encoder quality, choose a target in KB or limit the longest edge, then compare the result with your original. Automatic mode compares suitable formats and the source file to find a smaller output for web graphics, email attachments and upload limits.
How to use it
- Upload or drop one or more JPG, PNG or WebP files.
- Choose quality or target size mode, then set the format and longest edge.
- Compress, compare the images and actual sizes, then download individual files or a ZIP.
Practical tips
- Keep up to 50 images, with a 50 MB limit per file and 200 MB per batch.
- PNG optimization at the original dimensions is lossless; its encoder has no quality slider. JPG removes transparency.
- Very small size targets may require lower quality or smaller dimensions; unmet targets are shown.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my image barely getting smaller?
Your source may already be efficiently compressed. At unchanged dimensions, automatic mode keeps the smaller original rather than increasing its size through re-encoding. Lower quality or smaller dimensions can reduce it further.
How do I compress an image to a specific KB size?
Use target size mode and enter a value from 1 to 10240 KB. The tool searches encoder quality and, if enabled, reduces dimensions proportionally. A very small target may be impossible at the original dimensions.
